HI GUYS!
I attended the Berlin Fashion Week for the first time so I figured I’d share my experience with you! But first thing first, I have to throw it out there that I am not a professional model or a famous person by any means, I am just a blogger paving my way through and got very lucky to be there!
It’s not as glamorous as everyone puts it up to be
Yes, I’ve always dream of going to fashion week since I remember and believed that it is so fancy. However, it’s not what it all cracked up to be. Yes, the fashion and the runway was AMAZING! I have no other words for that! But, by the end of the week, I was so exhausted I ended up leaving an event and booking an earlier train home. I probably had one meal a day during the fashion week and always WALKING. Changing from one outfit to another! Woke up early and stayed up late most nights for the parties.
I got to meet a lot of amazing and inspiring people and also had the opportunities to connect with designers and brands. However, it was very overwhelming.
Was it all worth it?
My boyfriend asked me this on the phone, so I told him “Hell yes, it is so goddamn worth it”. As exhausted as I was, I was so excited for everything. Being there for the first time gave me this nervous feelings in my stomach. I didn’t know how to act and what to expect. But all and all, it was one remarkable experience.
What now?
If you are a blogger or a content creator, an influencer (whatever you call yourself), you understand the struggle we all go through in this business, in this industry. Going to fashion week was like refuelling myself. I came back with more passion and the will power to push myself and my business to where I want it to be. At the end of the day, you are the only thing that is holding you back!
I hope this helps you get a glimpse of what it’s like to be at a fashion week. But sadly, I believe that one cannot experience what it truly is like unless one is there! Happy Monday everyone! Don’t stop chasing THAT DREAM!
XOXO,
